Hello and welcome! I am Stephanie Marie Dotson, a multidisciplinary artist, goldsmith, couture designer and storyteller whose work weaves metalsmithing, textile art, portraiture and mythic spoken-word into a unified creative practice. Based in East Texas, I work at the intersection of material, memory and meaning – where sparkling stones, heritage cloth, precious metals and narrative become vessels for transformation and inspiration.

My current collections are informed by classical portrait techniques, ancient metalwork & textiles, and mythical epic narrative. My practice centers on freedom and strength, creating a complex body of work that inspires creative sovereignty and growth. Couture works featuring Japanese textile heritage, American denim and European wool. Metal works featuring shamanic inspired symbolism, storied stones and shapes found abundantly in nature. Oil on canvas works featuring traditional portrait technique beautifully blended with my signature expressionist style.

My creative endeavors span the farm, the forge and the atelier – forming a living ecosystem rooted in ecological reverence, zero-waste philosophy and the belief that fine art and fine craft are powerful forms of prayer. I am the creator of many passion projects including Firewoken & Company, the home for my artisan jewelry collection and Sashi Couture, the home for my elevated textile works. Currently, I am developing new bodies of work for future festival exhibitions, expanding my goldsmithing practice and building a mythic, artist-forward digital sanctuary on Patreon for collectors, collaborators and creatives with a kindred spirit.
